According to the Ayurveda, Cucumber is a favourable fruit for curing the bile, blood bile, and blood impurities and blood deficiencies and urinary infections. The use of cucumbers calms the irritation and burning of the stomach. According to Ayurveda, bad smell is eliminated from the mouth, because of the heat in the stomach, Cucumber helps in imparting calmness and coolness to the stomach. Vitamin A, B1, B6 C, D, Potassium, Phosphorus, and Iron etc. are found in abundant quantity in Cucumber.

Regular eating of Cucumber also helps in getting rid of problems related with monthly menstruation. Cucumber is a vegetable that does not have any Cholesterol at all. It is considered very beneficial for the heart/ cardiovascular patients.

According to a study, there is an ingredient named Stererol, which helps in reducing the Cholesterol. The Cucumbers is low in calories and has fibre in a high quantity. Therefore, eating cucumber, if hungry during the mid-day, keeps the stomach full, till a much later time.
